The FOPPI acronym offers a memorable way for us to think about what happens as we become increasingly triggered into fight/flight and/or hide/freeze behavioural patterns.
Being more aware of what to look out for in terms of how we change when we trigger, improves our capacity to activate resources that will help reduce the intensity and duration of discomfort that we experience.
